New For 2024
The Palisade underwent a major facelift for the 2023 model year and, as such, Hyundai hasn't changed their flagship SUV too much. One thing they have added, though, is dual-zone front climate control and single-zone rear climate control to the base SE model, boosting its value for the current model year.
Some other changes include rear-side window shades on the XRT trim as well as ambient interior lighting on the Limited. Hyundai has also introduced a new top trim level, the Calligraphy Night Edition, which offers a more premium experience and a blacked-out design.

The Palisade is powered by a smooth V-6 engine that has enough pep to get you from A to B in a hurry. Acceleration is no problem, as the Palisade can hustle to 60 miles per hour in a hurry when needed. At highway speeds, Hyundai's three-row SUV manages to overtake fairly easily too.

However, the front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models achieve similar efficiency, meaning you're not penalized for going with all-wheel drive if that is something that you value highly. Regardless of trim level, the Palisade comes with three rows of seating as standard, with enough room for up to eight passengers. Space in the first and second rows is plentiful, with passengers having tons of headroom and legroom. The second row comes as a bench as standard in the SE and SEL trims but is replaced by captain's chairs, bringing passenger capacity down to seven. Space in the third row isn't class-leading, but it isn't cramped either, and we can see adults being able to comfortably ride in the back.
Cargo space in the Palisade is also pretty good for a car of its size. With the third row in use, there is still a good amount of space in the back for luggage or groceries. However, should you need to haul larger items from time to time, you can get access to up to 86.4 inches of cargo space with both the second and third rows folded flat.
Comfort
Hyundai has consistently made an effort to improve the perception of its brand, from purely mainstream to something slightly more upscale. This is evident in the Palisade, with an interior that looks much more finely finished than its price tag suggests, even in its base form.
Noise from the road is suppressed incredibly well and the cabin is impressively quiet. The ceiling for comfort is also incredibly high, with some of the higher trim levels offering power-adjustable, heated seating as well as a system that detects the best settings for effective lumbar support.
